The Art Deco particulars of Brannigan's speak were designed in the Winter of 2012 for the iniquitous setting of Pepperpot Piper's Night Before Christmas kickoff.

Art Deco was the loveliest thing to come out of France since... well... all the other lovely things that have come out of France.

Chromium chevrons, zigzags and moderne streamlining rampant on everything from locomotives to teapots. A machine-driven futurescape gleaming in the glow of bright Bakelite sunbursts. And all of it cloud castles of course, trying to humanize the inhumane. A movement fated to fade, because under those aerodynamic steel shells there were only grimy piston engines after all. Inside those gothic arches of inlaid oak, just jumbles of dusty vacuum tubes.

Cloud castles, but lovely cloud castles.
