Sit back, close one eye and use your thumb to cover the circle in the image below - yeah, I know, I should’ve made a rollover, except... I didn’t.
See what happens? With the shadow blocked the lighting on the X3 seems unaccountably drab and uninteresting.
Now uncover the circle and look again. With the ‘bot’s death ray emitter casting a shadow on its head (bullet hole removed for clarity) and the white highlight placed just so, the location of the dramatic fiery light source becomes obvious, transporting you to a world of visual wonder!
