This was the third Pep test, taken to final art back in 2013 when I was deciding whether or not to make the comic in a photorealistic style; the Chavant NSP clay sculpt, the two-part silicon rubber box mold and the resin cast.
Pepperpot’s softened a lot since then, and later on I decided she was cuter with a nubbier nose, poofier hair and both ears showing, but I still use this maquette to reference shadows every time I paint her:
